Our Staff


Sporting Chagrin Valley has grown to over ten teams, with 150+ players in two short years! Coach Kia is considered one of the best soccer trainers in Northeast Ohio. His staff has quickly caught on and done a great job replicating his methodology. With Sporting, your son or daughter is in good hands, and our coaching staff looks forward to working with them this year.

KIA ZOLGHARNAIN: Director and Head Coach

KIA ZOLGHARNAIN: 

Born on November 10, 1965 in Meshad, Iran and then later moved to Scottsdale, Arizona in August of 1978, as his family fled the revolution, and became US citizens via political asylum. In 1983, at 17 years old, following his time at Coronado HS, he signed as a free agent for Phoenix Pride of the MISL, and became the youngest, lightest (125 lbs.), and shortest player (5’4’’) to sign a professional soccer contract in the US.

He played for 17 years, in which during that time he played in 9 finals, was a 9 time all star, and became the 7th player in history to score 500 goals and 1000 points. Kia finished his career with 623 career goals in 615 games, also operated Kia’s Kids charities that provided assistance to at-risk children. With 34 years of experience, he is considered to be one of the most elite trainers in all of Ohio. 

Coach Kia is a main staple of Go2Goal, and his countless hours of work, experience, and passion drive him to be a top professional. Operates as owner & CEO.

Coaching & Training Experience 

  • Started & organized club, A.C. Pumas, from 1992-1998
  • Boys Director of C.S.A. Impact 1998-2008
  • D.O.C. Peachtree City Soccer Association, GA 2004-2006, in which   was hired to restructure soccer association of 3500 kids, which included recreation, travel, and premier level teams in conjunction with the city recreation department.
  • Former Technical Director of G2G that operates C.S.A. via licensing agreement since 2008 for Force Sports. (End date; October 2019).
  • Force Sports Technical Director 2007-2019, role was to oversee all programming/camps, community training for Force Soccer Academy within Force Sports Facilities and neighboring communities.
